Amante Italian Cuisine and Bob's Pizza in Deerfield Beach is a family run Italian restaurant and pizza shop that has been in business since 1975. This is really two restaurants in one, separated by a walkway. The Amante side is more upscale with an elegant yet cozy dining room and sidewalk tables with a menu of Southern Italian dishes of chicken, veal and seafood dinners, and pasta while Bob's side is more casual with sandwiches, salads and pizza. Delivery and takeout customers can order from both sides. The Amante in the restaurant's name is the Amante family. Nunzio Amante was born on July 19, 1932 in Sicily, Italy. In 1964 he visited the US on vacation. Despite not knowing English he decided to move to the U.S. with his wife and three children. At first he worked jobs in construction, cleaning, and landscaping. After raising enough money he and his wife purchased a diner on A1A in Deerfield Beach launching their foray into the restaurant business. Papa Nunzio passed away in 2014 but the restaurant is still run by family, Robert & Christina Amante. There is pay parking behind the restaurant and a parking garage a few blocks away. Amante's is a long time favorite of my girlfriend and we came here on a Saturday night to celebrate her birthday. We sat at one of the sidewalk tables where we could enjoy the live music and ocean breeze. I had the chicken parmesan and my friend had the eggplant. The chicken cutlet was thin and crispy and the portions were large. They give complimentary bread but we had to request ours. With a class of house wine it was a great dinner. The restaurant is eventually going to be moved across the street next to the Whale's Rib. If you're craving authentic Italian cuisine near the beach in Deerfield, Amante Italian Restaurant is a great destination for a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner.
Asante is an old school, down to earth Italian restaurant in the heart of Deerfield Beach entertainment area. The food was cooked to perfection and the service impeccable. There were 7 of us and everyone ordered a different menu item. No one left hungry or dissatisfied.
This was our second time eating here. Obviously we liked it, so we came back. Their muscles are excellent; fresh, garlicky and perfectly cooked. The zitti with broccoli had just enough garlic and oil. We also had the meatballs which were delicious. I'm sorry I didn't get another order to bring home.
Went in on a Monday night, not busy and seated immediately. Wait staff was lovely, food came out nice and hot and the chicken mama Mia was absolutely delicious! Super simple meal but it was 10/10. The pizza was great as well! The only reason no 5 star bc we ordered a kids ravioli and $13 for 4 ravioli is a bit ridiculous, although they were good, a bit much for a kids meal! We'll be back!
We stopped here based on some recommendations from friends. So I ordered the Stromboli which was good and plentiful, but lacking in the cheese department. The misses got the "Special" shrimp with linguini withTequila and lime sauce, which was very good but they didn't mention the price of $37. I guess "Special" means Special plate Not Price. It could of had more linguini noodles for that "Special" price. But we would probably still come back because it's so close to our resort.
Fun place very good food. It's very loud and lively so consider this before going. We were in the area for 2 weeks and went there twice. The white sangria was excellent. Eggplant rollatini and sauce exceeded my expectations particularly for the area. The service was exceptional.
Absolutely love this little Italian spot on the beach! It's a family favorite for us, with delicious food that's always consistent. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night or a family outing, with live entertainment and outdoor seating on the sidewalk. They truly captivate the up north Italian vibe and bring it all the way to the Deerfield Beach shoreline. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, especially with kids. My family comes here on holidays and they always have an amazing specials menu. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great meal with a view!
I have to start off right away by saying how good Amante's is! We went on Saturday night I was craving some good pasta and they did not disappoint. We started off with the happy hour mozzarella sticks they were ok lacking on a cheese pull though. They had a different fried mozzarella on the regular menu that might be different than the happy hour one because our waiter asked us to specify which one we wanted. I ordered the rigatoni alla vodka and FINALLY an actual vodka sauce not some basic pink sauce. It was so delicious and the rigatoni was al dente it was perfect. I can't remember the last time I completely finished a bowl of pasta. My boyfriend got the chicken francese and he said it was really good and enjoyed their sauce. The service was so quick as well I almost want to say too quick we were getting our drinks refilled and plates taken away before we could finish a sip or bite. We were there for less than an hour and the place was not super busy so I guess they're just really quick. They have two separate sides it seems as we had to pick between the dining room and the pizza side. One thing that was kind of bothersome though as we sat by the window they have these bright blue lights that light up the outdoor area and it was just a bit blinding to look at. Other than that the staff was very friendly, overall I was very impressed and we will defintely be back as the food really impressed us. Food 5/5 Service 5/5
We found a vacant parking space, a real rarity in this area, right in front of Amante Italian Cuisine, so we decided to stop in. Immediately, upon entry we were given a warm welcome by the bartender so took a set at the bar and ordered drinks. Amante Italian is very spacious with a warm old-time but classic décor. What quickly caught my eye was a Channel 10 poster awarded to Amante Italian for having had zero food violations, which is an impressive admirable feat. And, looking around, everything was indeed spotlessly clean. Amante Italian has two bars and offers both indoor and outdoor sidewalk dining. The drinks we had were of a decent pour and their menu is amazingly complete in its offerings. They offer 10 different appetizers, varying soups, and salads, plus all kinds of pasta including a Bolognese and a Carbonara. For veal dishes there are five including a parmigiani, a Francese, a Marsala, a Valdostano chop on the bone lightly breaded and topped with prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, and a marsala wine sauce plus a Saltimbocca. All food is fresh, served in a good presentation, and totally delicious.
